Care Guide

Italian Leather Shoe Care

Hand-lasted shoes that mold to your foot. Care for them, and they will carry you for years.

01

Use Shoe Trees

Insert cedar shoe trees after every wear. They absorb moisture and maintain the shoe's sculpted shape.

02

Polish Regularly

Condition and polish every 2-3 wears. This nourishes the leather and creates a protective barrier.

03

Rotate Your Pairs

Leather soles and insoles need 24 hours to dry and recover. Never wear the same pair two days in a row.

04

Protect from Rain

Apply a water-repellent cream before first wear. If soaked, stuff with newspaper and dry at room temperature.

05

Store in Dust Bags

Keep shoes in their dust bags, away from sunlight. This prevents fading and leather drying.

“When soles wear thin, resole before the leather footbed is damaged. A good cobbler can extend the life by years.”

What to Avoid

  • No direct heat drying
  • No harsh solvents
  • No machine washing
  • No plastic shoe boxes long-term
